Among them was Janet Fredstrom, who, along with her husband Paul, was the focus of one of the spots. “I have to say, it was really a lot of fun,” she said. “The people we worked with during the filming were all phenomenal...I’d love to do this again someday.”
“One thing we’re really proud of is the way so many people stepped up and helped out during three very hectic days of filming,” said Hempel. “I think it says something about our communities that we didn’t need any actors to convey just how much our residents enjoy living here...the people on camera are speaking from experience.”
The television spots are just one aspect of a larger branding campaign currently underway. Coordinated by Parabolic Productions, this advertising program will include print ads in local newspapers and billboards along major interstates. The goal of this project is to continue to help St. Louisans associate the “Lutheran Senior Services” name with the very best in senior living and health care.
“The central message running through all these different ads is ‘This is Lutheran Senior Services,’ What you see here is the kind of excellent service and beautiful communities you can expect if you come to live here,” said Phil Hohle, president of Parabolic Productions. “It was a real joy to capture on film what a blessing LSS is. The stories told in the commercials are genuine. The spirit of quality and community were ubiquitous, and clearly evident in the staff, residents and facilities. All we had to do was just tell it like it is.”
