Participating facilities, which include the skilled care centers at LSS’ Missouri communities, will work to meet a series of quality improvement goals in fields including customer satisfaction and reducing nursing staff turnover.
“We’re thrilled to have been chosen as the host for the program’s opening ceremony,” said Kent Kirkwood, administrator for LSS at Heisinger Bluffs. “A commitment to continual improvement is part of our core philosophy at LSS. The standards set by ‘Advancing Excellence’ are high, but we owe it to our residents to not only achieve those goals, but to do our best to surpass them.”
The campaign is supported on the state level by the Missouri Local Area Network for Excellence (MO LANE). MO LANE includes nursing home associations, consumer organizations, the state Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and culture change organizations. Participating campaign members can be identified by decals displayed on windows or doors.
